Providing specialist representation to those serving in the Armed Forces facing investigation or prosecution for offences under Service Law.

Courts Martial & Military Law

If you are a member of the Armed Forces and accused of a criminal or service offence then you could face police interview or be summoned to appear before a Courts Martial. A prosecution by the Service Prosecuting Authority can lead to serious punishment and leave your career in jeopardy. Davies Blunden & Evans are one of the UK’s leading law firms specialising in defending Service Personnel in criminal proceedings.

Police Interview

If you have been arrested or invited for an interview under caution by the Royal Military Police (RMP) or the Serious Investigation Branch (SIB) then it is crucial that you obtain legal advice immediately.

Our specialist military law lawyers are authorised to provide free and independent representation at your police interview whether this be in the UK, Germany, Cyprus and even aboard navy ships. You do not have to pay for a solicitor to be present during your arrest or interview and Davies Blunden & Evans are authorised by the Armed Forces Criminal Legal Aid Authority (AFCLAA) to provide personal representation around the world.

Even if you do not believe you have committed an offence it is important that you have a solicitor with you during your police interview. Having a solicitor means that you will be more likely to find out prior to your interview the nature and strength of the evidence against you through your solicitor. Your rights will be explained and tactical decisions will be made regarding your defence and approach to the interview at an early stage. You will receive detailed advice on the offences you have been accused of and the implications of the Armed Forces Act 2006.

Call our 24/7 emergency Military Law Helpline to arrange representation. The RMP/SIB will arrange your interview to enable your solicitor to attend, whether this be in the UK, or for example, Sennelager or Episkopi.
